Prominent Labour Leader Abhijeet Rane Chief Guest at the commencement ceremony of AstraZeneca

Prominent Labour Leader Abhijeet Rane (Founder & General Secretary - Dhadak Kamgar Union, Group Editor - Daily Mumbai Mitra /Vrutta Mitra) graced the commencement ceremony of AstraZeneca India's Sapphire anniversary (45 Years) next year as the Chief Guest organized on 7th December, 2023 at JIO Convention Centre, Mumbai. Mr. Uttam Kumar, Board member of Indian Railways and General Secretary of BJP Vasai was also present where they saw a glimpse of what the journey of the organisation has been for past 4 years.

Dr Sanjeev Panchal, Country President and Managing Director, AstraZeneca India along with Dr Ajay Sharma, Corporate Affairs Director briefed the dignitaries about AstraZeneca's vision. Dr Santhosh Bhosle, Director IICare Foundation also was present. AstraZeneca is a global, science-led biopharmaceutical organisation committed to develop innovative medicines. As pioneers in science, they have a vision to transform healthcare for billions by leveraging science and innovation. With more than 4 decades of presence in India, AstraZeneca has been constantly working with the healthcare ecosystem to increase access to healthcare, making healthcare systems more resilient and contributing sustainably to people, society and the planet.

They collaborated with the Oxford University during the COVID-19 pandemic to develop a vaccine and transferred the technology to Serum Institute of India to deliver the same in India and many countries. Not only they saved approximately 6 billion lives worldwide but also provided access to the vaccine at no-profit during pandemic in many countries. Keeping their ambition of transforming patient outcomes, they are continuously harnessing science to create novel therapies and vaccines, help people with chronic diseases live better, healthier lives. Sri Abhijit Rane along with Uttam Kumar graced the meeting and addressed a team of about 700+ people who were attending the meeting.
